Privacy Policy
How GaGo collects, uses and protects personal data — written to be read, not skimmed past. We are pre-launch, so today this mostly means one thing: your email address on the waitlist.
1. Who we are
GaGo ApS (“GaGo”, “we”, “us”) is a Danish company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide why and how it is used.
Company registration number and registered address to be confirmed before launch. You can reach us any time at privacy@gago.com.
2. What we collect
We keep collection deliberately small. Right now, that is:
Your email address when you join the waitlist, and anything you choose to write to us — for example your name, your baby’s approximate age, or the content of a support message.
Basic technical data when you visit the site: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived. This is standard web-server and analytics data.
Whether our emails were opened or links clicked, so we can tell whether our updates are useful and stop sending ones that aren’t.
We do not ask for, and do not want, health data about you or your child. Please don’t send it to us.
3. Why, and on what basis
Under the GDPR we need a legal basis for every use of your data. Ours are:
Your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Our legitimate interest in a secure, working website — and your consent where analytics cookies are used.
Compliance with Danish and EU law, including proof of marketing consent.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working and are set without consent. Analytics cookies — which tell us, in aggregate, which pages people read — are only set if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
A full cookie table, listing each cookie, its purpose and its lifetime, is published alongside this policy at launch.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions: website and form hosting, email delivery, and privacy-friendly analytics. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. If GaGo is ever sold or merged, data may transfer as part of that business — we would tell you first.
6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
We prefer providers hosted inside the EU/EEA. Where a provider processes data outside it, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where needed. You can ask us for details of the transfers that apply to you.
7. How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe, or until three years after our last contact with you, whichever comes first. Correspondence is kept for up to two years. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Records of consent are kept for as long as needed to prove compliance.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what came before.
Write to privacy@gago.com and we’ll respond within one month. There’s no charge, and no need to explain why.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your rights, we will notify the Danish Data Protection Agency and, where required, you.
10. Children’s data
GaGo makes products for babies, but our site and waitlist are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 15 (the age of digital consent in Denmark), and we do not build profiles of children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
As GaGo moves from waitlist to launch, this policy will change — orders, payments and shipping bring new data with them. We’ll update the date at the top, and for material changes we’ll email people on the waitlist rather than quietly editing the page.
12. Contact and complaints
Questions, requests or concerns: privacy@gago.com.
If you think we’ve handled your data badly, you can complain to Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark — datatilsynet.dk. We’d rather you told us first, but it’s your right either way.
